The right business credit card for your LLC can build your business credit and reward your spend.

Many or all of the products featured here are from our partners who compensate us. This influences which products we write about and where and how the product appears on a page. However, this does not influence our evaluations. Our opinions are our own. Here is a list of our partners and here's how we make money.

The best business credit card for your LLC will reward your spending with a combination of cash back, travel perks or flexible financing. A business credit card can also help new LLCs establish and build their business credit score.
Apply for an LLC credit card using your employer identification number, or EIN, to keep a clear separation between personal and business spending — essential for maintaining LLC protections. Be aware, however, that almost all cards will require your Social Security number, too, since approval is based on your personal credit.
All of our picks for the best business credit cards for LLCs are chosen by our editorial team, which independently evaluates and rates cards based on fees, rewards rates and redemption options, among numerous other factors.
Note: Some of our selections can be applied for through NerdWallet, and some cannot. Below, you’ll find application links for the credit cards from our partners that are available through NerdWallet, followed by the full list of our picks.

FULL LIST OF EDITORIAL PICKS: BEST BUSINESS CREDIT CARDS FOR LLCS

Click the card name to read our review. Before applying, confirm details on the issuer’s website.
Our pick for: Travel rewards + big sign-up bonus
The
Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card
starts you off with one of the biggest sign-up bonuses of any credit card anywhere (assuming you spend enough to earn it), then gives you bonus rewards in common business spending categories. Points are worth 25% more when redeemed for travel booked through Chase, or you can transfer them to about a dozen airline and hotel partners. Learn more and apply.
Our pick for: New LLCs
Every dollar matters to new LLCs, and the
American Express Blue Business Cash™ Card
gives you multiple opportunities to save and earn cash. For starters, the
American Express Blue Business Cash™ Card
boasts one of the better introductory APR offers among business credit cards. Beyond that, you earn a solid cash-back rate (at least for a while — the rate drops after you hit a spending threshold). There's also
$0
annual fee. Learn more and apply.
Our pick for: Corporate card (no personal guarantee)
The
Ramp Card
's main selling point: It does not require a credit check or personal guarantee. You just need strong revenue and a healthy bank balance. The corporate charge card also offers unlimited cash-back rewards and card-level spending controls with no annual fee. Learn more and apply.
Our pick for: Luxury travel perks
Like the consumer version of this card,
The Business Platinum Card® from American Express
comes with a big annual fee. But business travelers who prefer to go in style will find plenty that appeals to them: high rewards on certain travel purchases, bonus rewards on larger non-travel purchases, a superb newcomer welcome offer, extensive airport lounge access, elite hotel status, hundreds of dollars a year in available credits and a list of perks as long as your arm. It's not cheap, but luxury never is. Terms apply. Learn more and apply.
Our pick for: Flat-rate cash back on all purchases
The
Ink Business Unlimited® Credit Card
earns a simple, flat cash-back rate on every purchase, with no limit on how much you can earn. The sign-up bonus is outstanding for a cash-back card, particularly one with no annual fee, and there's an intro APR period for purchases. Learn more and apply.
Our pick for: Flat-rate travel rewards
The
Capital One Spark Miles for Business
is basically a business version of the popular
Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card
. You earn 5 miles per dollar on hotels and car rentals booked through Capital One Travel and 2 miles per dollar on all other purchases. Miles can be redeemed at a value of 1 cent apiece for any travel purchase, without the blackout dates and other restrictions of branded hotel and airline cards. The card offers a great sign-up bonus, too. Learn more and apply.
Our pick for: Intro APR + balance transfers
The
U.S. Bank Business Triple Cash Rewards World Elite Mastercard®
is a solid cash-back card for business owners.
Earn 3% cash back on eligible purchases at gas stations, office supply stores, cell phone service providers and restaurants. Earn 1% cash back on all other eligible net purchases
. Plus, the card offers a competitive welcome bonus and
0% intro APR on Purchases for 15 billing cycles and 0% intro APR on Balance Transfers for 15 Billing Cycles, and then the ongoing APR of 18.49%-27.49% Variable APR
— all with a $
0
annual fee. Learn more and apply.
Our pick for: Applying with an EIN only
The
Brex Card
doesn't require a personal credit check and business owners can apply with an EIN only. There's also no personal guarantee. Instead, Brex determines creditworthiness by evaluating a company's cash balance, spending patterns and investors. The Brex card also offers a decent welcome bonus, earns ongoing rewards and offers direct intregration with popular accounting and bookkeeping software. Learn more and apply.

What to look for in a business credit card for your LLC

An incorporated company’s financial needs, priorities and considerations can vary significantly from that of a sole proprietorship. The following business credit card attributes can be particularly beneficial for LLC business owners.

Rewards that match your spending

Credit card rewards typically fall into two categories: cash back or travel points. If you travel often, a business card that offers travel rewards can quickly fund your next big trip. A high-earning cash-back card could be your best choice if you want to keep expenses low.
Within those categories, you’ll also need to choose between a card with flat-rate rewards or one with bonus tiers. Opt for a card with bonus tiers if you spend a lot in the high-reward categories, typically travel, gas stations and office supply stores, depending on the card. Otherwise, stick with a flat-rate card that doles out the same reward rate no matter where you spend.

Balance transfer and 0% intro APR period

Some credit cards offer a 0% introductory APR period which can serve as a creative alternative to a business loan. If you’re a new LLC facing startup expenses or have a large purchase on the horizon, you can pay off these costs over the course of the no-interest period. Already have an outstanding balance that accumulates high interest? Transfer that debt to a balance-transfer business card to buy you time to pay it down without interest.

EIN-only application

Most business credit cards require a Social Security number and an EIN when you apply, but there are a few exceptions. Corporate cards, like Ramp and Brex, let you apply with only an EIN. These cards use your company’s financials and business credit history to determine approval, rates and credit limit, making them a good option for LLCs with impressive revenue or professional funding.

Methodology

NerdWallet's Credit Cards team selects the best credit cards for small business based on overall consumer value, as evidenced by star ratings, as well as their suitability for specific kinds of small-business operators. Factors in our evaluation include annual and other fees, rewards rates, the earning structure (for example, flat-rate rewards versus bonus categories), redemption options, bonus offers for new cardholders, introductory and ongoing APRs, and other noteworthy features such as special financing arrangements, free cards for employees or tools for managing business expenses. Learn more about how we rate business credit cards.
