If you’re looking for a cash-back, no-fee business card, then Chase bank's Ink Business Cash® Credit Card could be the right choice for you. This card offers valuable benefits such as higher than average cash-back rewards in bonus categories, a strong sign-up bonus and 0% interest on your balance for a full year.

However, the card also features a number of other perks that could have high value for the right cardholder. Here are some of the lesser-known reasons why you might want the Ink Business Cash® Credit Card in your wallet.

But first: The well-known reasons

  • New cardmember offer: Earn $900 bonus cash back after you spend $6,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening.

  • Intro APR: The Ink Business Cash® Credit Card features a 0% intro APR on Purchases for 12 months, and then the ongoing APR of 17.49%-23.49% Variable APR.

  • Cash back opportunities: Cardholders get 5% cash back on the first $25,000 they spend on internet, cable and phone services and at office supply stores in a year. You’ll also receive 2% cash back on the first $25,000 in combined purchases from gas stations and restaurants each account anniversary year.

  • $0 annual fee: Hard to argue with the sign-up bonus and the cash back opportunities when the card has no annual fee.

The underrated reasons

In order to get this card’s full value, you’ll need to look beyond the headline perks and make use of all the other benefits that the Ink Business Cash® Credit Card has to offer.

Access to Ultimate Rewards®

Chase Ultimate Rewards® is the name of the points program for Chase’s rewards credit cards. Spending on your Ink Business Cash® Credit Card means you’ll earn points; you can use your points to redeem for any available awards — cash back, gift cards, travel or pay with points at available third-party merchants. You can also spend your points as Ultimate Rewards®.

Through Ultimate Rewards®, you’ll have ample opportunity to transfer your points to eligible Chase partners, including major airline and hotel loyalty programs like United Airlines MileagePlus or World of Hyatt. Depending on how you choose to redeem your points, you may be able to get more value per point.

Car help

The next time you rent a car for business purposes, decline the rental company's offer of insurance and put the entire cost of the car on your Ink Business Cash® Credit Card.

Doing so will automatically provide you with primary insurance coverage on the car that will cover you for the full value of the vehicle in case of theft or collision damage. This coverage will apply to most cars whether they are rented in the U.S. or in a foreign country.

And if you run out of gas, get a flat tire or even need a tow in either your rental or your personal car, Ink Business Cash® Credit Card holders can call for roadside assistance. Chase will dispatch service anywhere they have coverage and charge the cost of the assistance to your card.

Travel services

Few things are scarier than getting sick in a foreign country or needing legal help when you’re far from home. If you find yourself in a situation where you need more than Google for assistance, cardholders can call their Chase Benefit Administrator to serve as a sort of emergency concierge.

Your administrator can provide you with referrals for either legal or medical services and can offer other emergency assistance.

You will be responsible for any expenses incurred for goods or services that you obtain from the guidance of your administrator.

It should be noted that this card does not provide travel insurance and that it also charges a high foreign transaction fee of 3%. If you’re looking for those types of perks, take a look at the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card or Chase Sapphire Reserve®, which both include travel insurance and no foreign transaction fees.

Purchase protection

If you use your Ink Business Cash® Credit Card to make a big-ticket purchase, such as a new TV or major appliance, the card will provide you with purchase protection against both damage and theft for 120 days from the date of purchase.

Cardholders can make claims for up to $10,000 per item and for a total of $50,000 per account.

The card also offers extended warranty protection. Items purchased from U.S. manufacturers can have their warranties extended by one year if the existing warranties are for three years or less.

Business perks

It’s essential to closely monitor your finances as a small-business owner. The Ink Business Cash® Credit Card offers fraud protection and personalized account alerts to help protect you.

You can also get employee cards for free, which means when your employees charge business expenses on their cards, you’ll accrue the benefits.

The bottom line

If you’re an Ultimate Rewards® collector or just looking for a no-fee business card with high-earning bonus categories, the Ink Business Cash® Credit Card could be a strong option for you. Take a step back to view the broader picture of all of its perks — both big and small — and you find a business credit card that is worth strong consideration.
